The four communities of Tahoe Mountain Resorts were created with a commitment to achieving the highest standards of ecological and social responsibility by East West Partners. These year-round resort communities employ environmentally conscious practices rarely applied on such a comprehensive basis in real estate development. To guide our construction efforts, Tahoe Mountain Resorts uses a program established by the U. S. Green Building Council called the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED ®) rating system. For every project, Tahoe Mountain Resorts focuses on innovative ways to restore, reduce, reuse and recycle resources and material. It is a philosophy that permeates every aspect of resort development and operation, and it is our belief that it will ultimately result in a community-based on the principles of conservation.
In addition, East West Partners has collaborated with respected North Lake Tahoe community organizations and foundations and estimates that in just over 20 years, the Tahoe Mountain Resort communities will generate more than $50 million to acquire open space and support arts and education programs for North Lake Tahoe through transfer fees levied from real estate sales. East West Partners has donated hundreds of acres of land for use by the community, including permanent public open space, hiking trails and bike paths, a site for a public school, churches, and a public recreation center.
